Performance comparison of polyurethane and rubber timing belts
1. The difference in material
It is obvious that rubber timingnization belts use rubber as raw materials, and polyurethane timingnization belts use polyurethane.
2. The hardness is different
The rubber belt is softer than the polyurethane belt, and the hardness of the rubber belt and the polyurethane belt is about 65 degrees Shaw and about 92 degrees Shaw, respectively.
3. Different applications
The application of rubber timingnous belt is relatively more extensive, and the manufacturing cost is relatively low. The application of polyurethane timingnous belt has certain limitations, but in some specific occasions, polyurethane timingnous belt does not produce dust characteristics make its advantages more prominent, such as food, medicine, drink back material, electronics and other dust requirements of the industry usually use polyurethane timingnous belt.
4. Different production processes
The rubber timingnous belt production process includes rubber mixing, mixing, vulcanization and other processes, which is relatively more complicated, while the polyurethane timingnous belt process is more concise, TPU type timingnous belt is usually directly extruded by the extrusion machine, and CPU type products can usually be produced by pouring method.
5. Material characteristics
The wear resistance of rubber timingnous belt is usually not as good as that of polyurethane timingnous belt, and polyurethane timingnous belt is also better in acid and alkali resistance and other chemical substances.
6. Polyurethane timingnous belt /pu timingnous belt also has thickening glue (red glue/green glue), baffle plate, perforated embedded nut for transport belt use and other processing.
