PU rod has good properties such as chemical corrosion resistance, tensile strength, high elasticity, high pressure load resistance, high wear resistance, strong shock absorption, tear resistance, radiation resistance, high strength, high load bearing and shock absorption and buffering. It can maintain high elasticity in a wide hardness range (Shore A10 to Shore D75). Its excellent and unique comprehensive properties are not available in ordinary plastics and rubbers.
Application field of PU board
Applicable to metallurgy, mining, petroleum, automobiles, building materials, sports, heavy machinery, shock-absorbing pads, pads, springs for large stamping equipment, and punching dies for various metal plates and tubes. The friction of general mechanical equipment acts as a buffer or shock absorber, and is an ideal mold spring.
Properties of polyurethane elastomers:
1. Excellent wear resistance: the wear resistance of polyurethane elastomer is relatively outstanding, which is about 3-5 times that of ordinary natural rubber, so it is very important in occasions with severe wear;
2. Wide range of hardness: the adjustable hardness range of polyurethane elastomer can be as low as shore A 0, and as high as shore D85, extending from the hardness of rubber to the hardness range of plastic. In the case of hardness, it still has good rubber elasticity and elongation;
3. High strength: Under the hardness of rubber, the tensile strength and tear strength of polyurethane elastomer are much higher than that of general rubber; under the hardness of plastic, its impact strength and bending energy are much higher than plastic;
4. Oil resistance: The oil resistance of polyester polyurethane elastomer is not lower than that of nitrile rubber, which is equivalent to that of polysulfide rubber;
5. High bearing capacity: Since the polyurethane elastomer can increase the hardness while maintaining the elasticity of the rubber, it can achieve a high bearing capacity, which is not compatible with other rubbers;
6. Good vibration-absorbing performance: Polyurethane elastomers show obvious hysteresis for large deformations. In this process, part of the energy of external forces is consumed in the interior of polyurethane elastomers and converted into heat energy. Therefore, polyurethane elastomers have obvious shock-absorbing properties, which can also be called damping properties.
7. Low temperature resistance performance: Polyurethane elastomer has good low temperature performance, and the brittle containment is generally very low (-50°C-70°C), and the catalytic temperature of some formula varieties is lower than -70°C, so polyurethane elastomer products are especially suitable in cold environment;
8. Radiation resistance and ozone resistance: Among polymer materials, polyurethane has outstanding radiation resistance and ozone resistance;
9. Mold resistance performance: Polyether polyurethane has good mold resistance performance. It used to be grade 0-1, and it basically does not grow mold.
10. Biomedical properties: Polyurethane materials have good biocompatibility, and acute and chronic toxicology tests and animal tests have confirmed that medical polyurethane materials are non-toxic, have no distortion, and have no adverse side effects such as allergic reactions
