What are polyurethane sheets used for?
Polyurethane, mostly in the form of flexible foam, is one of the most popular materials used in home furnishings such as furniture, bedding and carpet underlay. As a cushioning material for upholstered furniture, flexible polyurethane foam works to make furniture more durable, comfortable and supportive.
The advantages of Polyurethane sheet
1. Insulation
Since the thermal conductivity of the foaming agent used in the polyurethane board is much lower than that of air (good thermal insulation), the polyurethane rigid foam has excellent thermal insulation properties. Suitable for pure air materials such as mineral wool, glass fiber and polystyrene. In addition, its unique closed cell and high gas diffusion resistance give it good long-term insulating properties, which can last for 20-50 years or more.
2. Corrosion resistance
The closed-cell structure of the polyurethane rigid foam and the surface material used make it have good gas resistance and moisture resistance, and can be made into a mosaic structure during the molding process, that is, easy to assemble. It doesn't need extra insulation to keep out moisture, so it doesn't need a lot of insulation. Other insulating materials cannot achieve these properties.
3. Light weight and high bearing capacity
Due to the use of rigid polyurethane foam as the structural material at the same time, the overall structure has the advantages of light weight, large span and high bearing capacity. Rigid polyurethane foam has insulating properties compared to other insulating materials. Therefore, thinner polyurethane sandwich panels can meet building energy-saving requirements, and thinner panels can be used during construction to save building space.
4. Stable quality and high production efficiency
5. Good weather resistance and easy installation.
