1. Product Description:
A round belt, a type of belt, and a pulley together form a round belt drive, which is a type of friction drive. Round belts are also called polyurethane round belts and connectable round belts. They are usually made of PU. PU is the abbreviation of Polyurethane, and the Chinese name is polyurethane for short.
How the round belt works:
The round belt drive is a friction belt drive. The drive belt is tightly sleeved on the two pulleys to generate pressure between the contact surface of the belt and the pulley. When the driving pulley rotates, the frictional force generated between the contact surface of the belt and the driving pulley makes the belt move. At the same time, the belt relies on the friction between the contact surface of the driven wheel to drive the driven wheel to rotate, thereby transmitting motion and power.
2.The round belt application:
The round belt is applied to the round belt drive. The round belt drive relies on the friction between the belt and the wheel groove to generate friction. It has good elasticity, relieves shock and vibration during operation, runs smoothly, and has low noise. When the load is too large, the belt slips and starts to protect the mechanical action. The round belt drive is used in low-speed and low-power transmission, such as the transmission of sewing machines, tape reels and other small power or manual machinery as transmission.
3. Working characteristics:
1. Because the round belt is an elastic body, it can alleviate the impact of the load, and the movement is smooth and noiseless.
2. Overload will cause the belt to slip on the pulley, thus preventing other parts from being damaged.
3. The manufacturing and installation accuracy is not as strict as the meshing transmission.
4. The belt length can be increased to adapt to the working conditions with large center distance.
4. Types of round belts:
Round belts are generally divided into smooth round belts and rough round belts: round light belts are orange, and round rough belts are dark green. The light belt has good surface finish, bright color, rough surface, uniform and tidy particles, comfortable hand feeling, and a wide range of applications. According to the material, it is divided into: pu round belt, tpu round belt and volta round belt. Its specifications can be produced from Φ2 to Φ30.
