What is polyurethane rod? Since the groups contained in polyurethane macromolecules are highly polar groups, and the macromolecules also contain polyether or polyester flexible segments, polyurethane has the following characteristics:

2. Has high flexibility and resilience;

3. Excellent oil resistance, solvent resistance, water resistance and fire resistance. Because polyurethane has many excellent properties, it has been widely used.

What is polyurethane rod? Polyurethane is mainly used as polyurethane synthetic leather, polyurethane foam, polyurethane coating, polyurethane adhesive, polyurethane rubber (elastomer) and polyurethane fiber. In addition, polyurethane is used in civil engineering, site drilling, mining and petroleum engineering to block water and stabilize buildings or roadbeds. As a paving material, it is used in sports fields, runways, building indoor floors, etc.

What is polyurethane rod? Rigid polyurethane foam is a polymer made of isocyanate and polyether as the main raw materials. It is mixed with special equipment and foamed in situ through high-pressure injection under the action of additives such as foaming agents, catalysts, and flame retardants. There are two types of polyurethane foam: soft foam and hard foam. Soft foam has an open-cell structure, while rigid foam has a closed-cell structure. Soft bubbles are divided into skinned and non-skinned.

The main function of polyurethane foam is cushioning. Polyurethane foam is commonly used in sofa furniture, pillows, cushions, toys, clothing and acoustic linings.

Polyurethane rigid foam is a new synthetic material with thermal insulation and waterproof functions. Its thermal conductivity is low, only 0.022 ~ 0.033 W/(m *), which is half of that of extruded board, and is the lowest among all current insulation materials. Rigid polyurethane foam is mainly used for building exterior wall insulation, integrated roof waterproofing and insulation, cold storage insulation, pipe insulation materials, building panels, refrigerated trucks and cold storage insulation materials.

The main feature of polyurethane rods is their porosity, so they have low relative density and high specific strength. According to different raw materials and formula changes, soft, semi-rigid and rigid polyurethane foam can be made.
