Advantages of Polyurethane Elastomers
(1) Wide range of hardness. And it still has good rubber elasticity and elongation under high hardness.
(2) High strength. Their tensile strength and tear strength are much higher than general-purpose rubber at rubber durometer. At plastic hardness, their impact strength and bending strength are much higher than plastics.
(3) Wear-resistant. It is known as "wear-resistant rubber". Especially under the working conditions of wet media such as water, its wear resistance is often several times that of ordinary rubber materials. Metal materials such as steel are hard but not necessarily wear-resistant. For example, in the large water pumps in the Yellow River irrigation area, the metal mouth rings and protective rings of the flow-passing parts are washed by a large amount of sand, and they will be severely worn and leaked within a few hundred hours. The mouth rings and protective rings covered with polyurethane elastomers are continuous 1800 hours of operation and still no wear.
