What are the characteristics of polyurethane rods? From the perspective of molecular structure, polyurethane elastomer is a block polymer. Usually, the soft segment is composed of oligomer polyol flexible long chain, the hard segment is composed of diisocyanate and chain extender, and the hard segment and soft segment are arranged alternately to form a repeating structural unit. In addition to urethane groups, hydrogen bonds can form within and between polyurethane molecules, and microphase domains can form between soft and hard segments, and microphase separation can occur. These structural characteristics make polyurethane elastomers have excellent wear resistance and toughness, and are called "wear-resistant rubber".

What are the characteristics of polyurethane rods? Polyurethane elastomer has excellent comprehensive properties, and its modulus is between ordinary rubber and plastic. It has the following characteristics:

1. High strength and elasticity, can maintain high elasticity in a wide range of hardness;

2. Under the same hardness, the bearing capacity is higher than other elastomers;

3. Excellent wear resistance, 2 to 10 times that of natural rubber;

4. Excellent oil resistance and chemical resistance; aromatic polyurethane radiation resistance; excellent oxygen resistance and ozone resistance; good fatigue and vibration resistance, suitable for high-frequency bending.

5. High impact resistance; good compliance at low temperature; generally, the required low hardness can be achieved without adding plasticizer, so there is no problem caused by plasticizer migration;

6. Ordinary polyurethane cannot be used at a temperature above 100, but it can withstand a high temperature of 140 with a special formula; the cost of molding and processing is low.

What are the characteristics of polyurethane rods? Compared with metal materials, polyurethane rod products have the advantages of light weight, low noise, wear resistance, low processing cost, and corrosion resistance. Compared with plastics, polyurethane elastomers have the advantages of no brittleness, elastic memory, and wear resistance. Compared with rubber, polyurethane elastomer has the advantages of abrasion resistance, cutting resistance, tear resistance, high load bearing, transparent or translucent, ozone resistance, potting, pouring, and wide hardness range.
