PU Belt

PU belt is a kind of belt drive, often used for small load transmission. The belt drive relies on friction, friction between the belt and the pulley when working, and the friction on the pulley drives the belt to move. Because the friction force is limited, the belt drive has less power than the gear drive. At the same time, the belt drive has relative sliding, and the instantaneous transmission ratio is not accurate, but it can protect the overload, and the structure is simple.

The main advantages of belt drive are:

(1) Suitable for transmission between two shafts with a larger center distance;

(2) when overload, there will be slippage between the belt and pulley, so as to prevent damage to other parts of the machine, and play the role of overload protection;

(3) The belt transmission structure is simple, manufacturing, installation accuracy requirements are low, low cost;

(4) The belt is elastic, so it can mitigate the impact and absorb vibration.
