What is polyurethane
Polyurethane (PU), the full name of polyurethane, is a polymer compound, which was produced by Otto Bayer in 1937.
Polyurethane materials are very versatile and can replace rubber, plastic, nylon, etc. in airports, hotels, building materials, automobile factories, coal mines, cement factories, high-end apartments, villas, landscaping, colored stone art, parks, etc. After decades of technological development, this material has been widely used in the field of home furnishing, construction, daily necessities, transportation, and home appliances.
Features and Benefits of Polyurethane
The reason why polyurethane is widely used in our lives is inseparable from the following advantages:
1. Wide range of hardness,
2. high strength,
3. The adjustable range of performance is large. A number of physical and mechanical performance indicators can be changed within a certain range through the selection of raw materials and the adjustment of formula, so as to meet the different requirements of users for product performance;
4. Wear-resistant. It is known as "wear-resistant rubber";
5. Oil resistant. The oil resistance of polyester polyurethane elastomer is not lower than that of nitrile rubber, which is equivalent to polysulfide rubber;
6. Excellent ozone resistance;
7. Good shock absorption, radiation resistance and breathability resistance.
